Gag Gifts

Gag gifts are a really funny way to show appreciation. They often look like regular items, such as a package of pens with advertising on the side typical of ballpoint pens. But upon closer inspection the advertisements read something like “Springfield Sexual Addiction Center, From Perv to Perfect in as little as 10 Days!” Another funny one says “Van Nuys Cosmetic Surgery, Specializing in difficult gender reassignments.”

Other funny gag gifts are funny books such as “How to Traumatize Your Children” which includes helpful hints for parents such as ways to destroy your child’s self-esteem, buy your child’s love and make them a bad friend. Chapter headings include “Imagination is an unaffordable luxury” and “Push them now before its too late”.

Another popular gag book is the Complete Guide to Things that Might Kill You. This is full of good information to make anyone worry. It has simple maladies that are coupled with deadly, painful and rare diseases. For example, if you have a headache, from this book you could conclude that it must be a brain tumor, as opposed to being hung over or dehydrated. Gag gifts can make a heavy subject much more light hearted and easy to deal with, and get a few laughs in the process.
